Mrs. Jimmie Broxton Rhoden, 84, wife of J. T. Rhoden, died Sunday, January 10, 2004 at National Health Care Center, North Augusta, SC. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Aiken?s First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Fred Andrea officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the church sanctuary. Entombment will be at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Butch Coleman, Chris Coleman Johnnie Cooper, Robert Glinski, Mike Nagy, Benny Amos, Rickey Cooper, Jimmie Free and the Barbara Smith Sunday School Class, formerly the Triple L. Sunday School Class as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Rhoden was the daughter of the late Walter and Eugenia Skinner Broxton. She was born in Richmond County, GA. Mrs. Jimmie had lived in Aiken since 1951 after moving from Raleigh, NC. She was part owner in the Casual Hut for 22 years. She was a member of the Barbara Smith Sunday School Class formerly the Triple L. Sunday School Class at Aiken?s First Baptist Church where she was also a member. Survivors include her husband, daughter, Gina Ansel Bridgers, Clearwater, SC, son, Tom Tracy Rhoden, Lawrenceville, GA, brothers, James Broxton, Dearing, GA, Louie Broxton, Atlanta, GA, sisters, Connie Glinski, and Ann Cooper, both of Aiken, Gertrude Amos, Hephzibah, GA, Donna Nagy, Gloverville, SC grandchildren Russ Bridgers, and Chloe and James Rhoden.
