A Requiem Mass for Stephan Zemko will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christians Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, with military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 6-7:30 pm at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary Building Fund, PO Box 438, Aiken, SC, 29802. Mr. Zemko, 84, of Aiken, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Leonard and Mary Terek Zemko, he was born in Barberton, Ohio. Mr. Zemko was a US Air Force Veteran and a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church. After retiring from Ford Aerospace in San Jose, California, Mr. & Mrs. Zemko moved to Glenside, PA, until 2002 when they moved to Aiken. He was a dedicated patron and a member of the VFW SRS Post 5877, where he was the number one trustee. Survivors include his wife: Roswitha Eberl Zemko of Aiken; their daughter, Patricia Zunino (Mario) of Aiken; 3 grandchildren, Stefani Donald (Michael) of Florence, Phillip Zunino of Columbia and Megan Zunino of Aiken; 2 great-grandchildren, Jett and Miles Donald of Florence.
