A memorial service for Mrs. Vivian A. Gresh will be held Friday, May 10, 2002 at 11:30 am at First Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Reverend Dr. Fred W. Andrea officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Gresh, 89, of Aiken, SC, beloved wife of forty-eight years to the late Paul Gresh, died Monday, night, May 6, 2002 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living, Aiken, SC.
Born in Franklin, PA, daughter of the late John and Stella Youngkin Alexander, she was a Prudential Agent during World War II and retired from TWA in 1978. Mrs. Gresh spent her career years in the Monroeville, PA, area and retired to Aiken, SC, in 1997, where she was a resident of Shadow Oaks and was a member of First Baptist Church.
A daughter, Hazel G. Murphy, Aiken, SC; sons, Philip A. Gresh, Hendersonville, NC, Col. Gary L. Gresh, Hendersonville, NC, and Donald A. Gresh, Aiken, SC; brother, Samuel E. Alexander, Jackson, MS; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, survive Mrs. Gresh.
