I am saddened by news of Louise's death. While I lived in Aiken, Louise and I shared many memorable times, building on the instant friendship that began when we lived in the same apt. complex in Aiken in 1990 and discovered we both had lived most of our lives in the Kansas City area. Louise was especially important to me during my husband's terminal illness when she was always available to me for tea and sympathy, often at a moment's notice. She always understood, and I learned so much from her about moving on after the death of a spouse, as she had done with grace and Missouri grit. Louise's family has lost an unforgettable character who always spoke her mind, a lady of great fashion sense, a spunky, fun gal of sturdy character and one of the best friends I ever had.
