She commandeered her squadron at Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah, GA until 1946. While in the Army, Georgiana met and married Wallace Franklin Alexander deceased, in August of 1946. The couple retuned to Ellenton, SC to begin their lives together.
With the building and development of the Savannah River Plant SRP during the 1950's, the family relocated to New Ellenton, SC. The purpose of the SRP site was to refine nuclear materials for deployment in nuclear weapons.
Georgiana was employed as an Accountant for thirty-six years at SRP before retiring in 1989. Serving as Adult Bible Studies teacher and bookkeeper, Georgiana was instrumental in the growth and life of the Nazarene Church in New Ellenton and remained active in the Stonecroft Christian Women's Group.
