Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara B. Cole. will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2pm at South Aiken Presbyterian Church, 1711 Whiskey Rd., Aiken with Rev. Christopher Crotwell officiating. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Russell Cole Jr., Clifford Marshall Cole Sr., Kenneth Russell Cole III, Clifford Marshall Cole Jr., Marshall Bouton & Jordan Rosier. The family will receive friends and family at the church from 1pm until the time of the service. They will also receive family & friends at her residence after the service. Memorial donations may be directed to the Hitchcock Woods Foundation, Aiken County SPCA or South Aiken Presbyterian Church. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken is assisting the Cole family. Mrs. Cole, 90, of Aiken, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A daughter of the late Percy Bouton and Gertrude Cruser Bouton, she was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Levittown, NY before moving to Aiken 40 years ago. She was well known as a horse woman, being a member of the Whiskey Road Foxhounds, a charter member of The Aiken Driving Club and a member of the Edisto Hounds. She also had a passion for dogs, especially Great Danes and Boxers. She and her husband traveled and cruised the world. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth R. Cole, Sr., who died in 2003. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws; Kenneth Russell Cole, Jr., Jeanie Aiken and Clifford M. Cole, Sr., Jamie Aiken; a brother, Marshall Bouton, Chicago, IL; four grandchildren; Kenneth Russell Cole III, Heather Jordan Rosier, Clifford Marshall Cole, Jr., and Garrett Marshall Cole; one great granddaughter, Chesney Noel Rosier and a loving sister and brother-in-law, Muriel & Frank VanAuken, Greenville, SC, sister-in-law, Eileen Hubp.
