Graveside services for Mrs. Betty A. Freeman will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1pm in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken is assisting the family. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions maybe directed to Jackson First Alert, 508 Atomic Rd, Jackson, SC, 29831 Mrs. Freeman, 73, of New Ellenton, died Monday, October 27, 2008 at her residence. Born in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Carrie Bates Robinson. She moved to New Ellenton in 1975 from Easley. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Easley, C.O.P.S Concerns of Police Survivors and an honorary member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Betty was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband; Charles L. Freeman, Sr. Betty is survived by her daughters, Pam James Maddox, Carrie Bill Corbett, Lori Joel Bennett, Robin Jimmy Whitmire, son, Charles L. Freeman, II, all of Aiken County, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and her special friend, Lady.
