Walter J. Luckasavage, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial for Walter J. Luckasavage will be celebrated by Father John Lawlor on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 10am at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, Aiken is assisting the family. Mr. Luckasavage, 69, of Aiken, died February 15, 2005 at the VA Hospital in Augusta after a long illness. Born and educated in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Helen nee Silinsky and Walter J Luckasavage, Sr. He graduated from the Charles E. Gorton High School with the Class of 1953. He served two years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. The majority of his business career was in advertising sales in New York City and Atlanta, GA. In 1991 he moved to Melbourne Beach, FL where he was an executive recruiter until he retired to Aiken in 1998. He is survived by two daughters, both residing in Atlanta: Susan Mrs. David Withers and Eileen Savage; two grand-children. Palmer and Carlisle Withers, Atlanta; and a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Fred Krisch of Aiken, SC. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church PO Box 419, Gloverville, SC 29828; or The Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way, Aiken, SC 29803 The family will receive visitors after the funeral at the Up Your Alley Restaurant, Downtown Aiken from 12pm until 3pm.
