Wilma and Maurice were charter members of the Couples Sunday School class at First Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. when it was organized during Dr. Ed Pruden's pastorate and continued in active membership roles during the years President and Rosalynn Carter were class members. They were dearly loved and contributed much to our fellowship.

Dear Gene and Richard,
I was saddened to learn of Mrs. Ford's death. I have such wonderful memories of the past eight years when she and my mother were neighbors at Park Place. She was so very good to Mother when things were not going well for her. I will always remember her kindness and loving nature towards both my parents.
Mother is in a nursing home and in the last stages of dementia so I will not be able to inform her of your mom's passing, however, I know she would be saddened also. She was a true friend to her during very difficult times. My heart and prayers are with each member of your family. I know you will miss her.
Fondly, Sara Nichols
