AIKEN, SC—Arthur E. Ludwig, Jr., age 76, entered into rest on Monday, September 12, 2016. Arthur was born November 19, 1939 in Union City, NJ to the late Arthur E. Ludwig, Sr. and the late Madeline B. Ludwig. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Pace University and worked primarily in the accounting industry. He was the Vice President of Finance and Controller for Safe Flight Instrument Company and Treasurer for Corporate Angel Network. Arthur had made Aiken, SC his home for the past nine years. He was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and enjoyed playing golf and loved animals. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Pat Ludwig; two daughters, Jennifer Casey (Stephen), of Virginia and Jeanne Ludwig, of New York; a son, Arthur E. Ludwig III (Tamami), of Hawaii; and two grandchildren, Daniel Casey and Haleigh Casey, both of Virginia. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the old historic St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, corner of Park and York, with the Very Rev. Gregory Wilson as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS), PO Box 2207, Aiken, SC 29802.
