Mrs. Zimmerman, 85, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Charles Craig Knight and the late Frederic Alan Zimmerman, died Thursday, morning, August 5, 2004 at Eden Gardens, Aiken, SC. Born in Narberth, PA, a daughter of the late Oliver John and Gladys Shaw Smith, she had been a resident of Malvern, PA for forty-seven years prior to coming to Aiken, SC, in 1999 when her health began to decline. She was a housewife, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Paoli, PA and spent many years and countless hours of her time as a volunteer with the Trading Post. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Chester Valley Golf Club where she enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. A daughter, Carolyn and her husband, Bruce Hart, Aiken, SC; sister, Barbara S. and her husband, Donald Nauta, West Chester, PA; grandchildren, Evonnie and her husband, Scott Smith, Round Lake, IL and Capt. Daniel ''Dan'' and his wife Joanna Hart, Ft. Campbell, KY; great-grandchildren, Scott Alan Hart, Katelyn Michelle Hart, Attalie Renee Hart, Jedidiah Craig Hart, Corrissa Lauren Smith, and Dwight Harold Smith; sister-in-law, Dorothy and her husband Gene Rogers, WA; nieces, Peggy Johnson, FL, Marjorie Nauta, West Chester, PA and Connie Lamb, WA; and nephew, William Grunden, FL, survive. In addition to her parents and husbands, a sister, Dorothy Smith Grunden, also preceded her in death.
