I was so shocked to learn of Barb's passing. I have some very fond memories of our days as neighbors on Goldstone Dr. When we moved you only had Joey - and now I learn of your daughters, including one also named Emilee! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May God hold you in his loving arms, and give you strength and faith to carry on in her loving memory.

As a child, I spent many evenings with Barb and Joe. My parents would take me to their house for socializing and fellowship. I have very fond memories of those evenings, spent in the garage with the guys and in the backyard with all. I have shared these memories with my wife and children in times past and currently. Our heavenly father is a graceful and all-powerful Lord. It gives me peace to know that Barb is with him now. Joe, I mourn your loss and pray for your peace and courage through this difficult time.

I will always remember Barb as the person that had a hug for me when I needed it; advice when I asked for it; and a shoulder to lean on. She was a joy to be around and to work with. Her departure from this earth ended her painful days, but has opened so many for us left behind. Barb would never want us to mourn her, but to celebrate her life as she loved and celebrated life with her family. My prayers are with all of you as I know how hard it can be to lose someone as special as Barbara was. Just know that someday, she will be there with open arms to embrace you all once again.

Emilee,
I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful person who wore a smile continuously and shared her happiness in life with everyone. You, Joey, Katie and your father were her pride and joy. Watching you grow into a beautiful young person made her very happy. Although she may no longer be here, she will always watch over you. I lost my father in December, so I understand how you feel right now. The pain and sorrow you feel will ease with time. Please know I will keep you and your family in my daily pryers.

Dear Joe and Family - I am saddened to hear about Barbara. I remember both Joe and Barbara and family from our dealings in Columbia years ago at Jim Hudson. My sincere condolences to the family and my prayers are with you all.

Dear Joe and Family - I know that you will miss your wife and mom and offer my sympathy on your loss. I pray that you will find the comfort and healing that is needed in this time. I pray that you can be the angels among each other like I'm sure your wife and mom was for you.

Barb was a warm and loving person and always a pleasure to be around at work. I was on the road a lot and it might be six months between times that I saw her and she would always welcome me back to the office with a smile and ask how I was doing. She touched my life and I will miss her very much. I am so sorry for your loss.

Barb was a truly wonderful person and dear friend. My thoughts & prayers are with all who grieve over her loss. The poem below seems to summarize how I feel about her loss.
You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Joe and Family---Barb's love for life and others was contagious, and her smile made you realize she was always cheering up someone's day. Barb clearly lived as a slice of God's love and it comforts me, and pray it does you, to know she is with Him, at peace, in no pain, without suffering, and serving her salsa and chips. I remain thankful to God and to each of you for sharing Barb with us. We are praying that God may comfort all of you during this most difficult time. With love, prayers and deepest Sympathies,
