I knew Ernestine from the Aiken bridge marathon. It was always fun playing bridge with her but more important to me was sharing stories of her longtime residence in Aiken, as I was a "newcomer", moving here in 1989. She generously shared stories of hers and Aiken's past, and I looked forward to our meetings. I so enjoyed her warm and friendly hospitality and positive view of life. I send my sympathy to her family. She always liked telling about her pride in each and all of you. It is hard to lose our special persons no matter how long their life has been, and Ernestine was indeed special

To the family of Mrs. Hedrick, I had the priviledge of meeting her when I worked with Ervin Transportation. I grew close to her dealing with her on a one on one basis. After I found another job of course I lost track of her. I send my condolences in the loss of your loved one and she truly had an humble spirit and will be missed.
