Rob and I were so sorry to hear about the death of your son. In losing Travis almost 7 years ago to the month our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
I want to share a poem that was shared with me at that time that seemed to help the pain a little:
Now will you give him all your love, Not think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call,
To take him back again?
It seems to me I heard you say,
"Dear Lord, Thy will be done
For all the joys this child shall bring, the risk of grief I'll run!
I'll shelter him with tenderness, I'll love him while I may,
And for the happiness I'll know, Forever grateful stay.
And should the Angels call for him, Much sooner than I've planned,
I'll brave the bitter grief that comes, And try to understand."
