Elouise Kathryn Haag Fellers, 91, of Aiken, South Carolina and formerly of Greenwich, New York and Boerne, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Elouise was born in Berea, Ohio to the late William C. Haag and Hulda E. Haag. She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-eight years, Eugene H. Fellers; her daughters, Susan L. Dick (Bob) of Aiken, South Carolina, Gretchen L. Whiting (Roger) of Granville, New York; three grand-daughters, Nicole K. Whiting of Clearwater, Florida, Sarah W. Wilson (Bryan), of Sausalito, California, Jennifer S. Goff (Jameson), of Granville, New York; two great-grandsons, Logan S. and Aiden P. Goff. She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. Elouise was a very joyful, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and aunt. She studied Voice and Music Education at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, where she met the love of her life, Eugene (Gene) Fellers. She and Gene loved to travel and enjoyed many trips throughout the USA and internationally. She was especially proud of her German heritage and loved her birds, gardening and cooking for her family. Her family wishes to thank the dedicated, loving staff at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living in Aiken, and her wonderful team of doctors and nurses headed by Dr. David Zimmerman. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at George Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with Father Grant Wiseman officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Interment to follow at a later date in Greenwich Village Cemetery, Greenwich, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 125 Pendleton St., N.W., Aiken, SC 29801. The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.
