Obituary of Steven Broderick

Mr. Broderick, 55, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Born at Ft. Gordon, he was a son of Vincent Paul and Helen Castaldo Broderick.
Surviving in addition to his parent of Martinez are his loving wife, Beatriz Broderick of Aiken ; a son, Wes Broderick of Columbia; a daughter, Natalie Broderick of Aiken; step-daughters, Mary Singleton and Judy Singleton Cook (James) all of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Kathryn Salazar (John) of Augusta, Pamela Noblett (Les) of Evans and Ruth Barry (Kurt) of Evans; a brother, Vincent Broderick (Elizabeth) of Evans; grandchildren, Peyton Mitchell and Megan Cook. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A communicant of St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, he was also a 4th Level Knight of The Knights of Columbus, Council #3684. Mr. Broderick was also an avid NASCAR fan and outdoorsman. He also enjoyed his computer. A Navy veteran, Mr. Broderick served his country proudly and was an avid patriot. He loved his family and and always found the time for generosity to others and even while leaving he donated his organs to help others heal.
A Requiem Mass for Steven John Broderick will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment, with military honors will be at 11 am Friday, March 21, 2014, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME.
