Graveside services for Mrs. Peggy A. Day will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10am at Highland South Memorial Park, Knoxville, TN with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2006 from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Association, 500 Taylor Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC, 29201. Mrs. Day, 60, of Aiken, died Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Medical College of Georgia. Mrs. Day was born in Water Valley, MS to Pauline Groves Arrington and the late Ben S. Arrington. She lived in Huntsville and Auburn, AL for eight years before moving to Knoxville, TN were she lived for fifteen years. In 1992 she moved to Aiken. Mrs. Day graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor?s degree in education. She was a teacher, homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Kay Arrington. Mrs. Day is survived by her husband, Robert E. Day; mother, Pauline Arrington; sons, Brad Day and his wife Noel, DeWitt, MI; Brian Day and his wife Rebecca, and their children Sarah Elizabeth and Rachel Abigail, Knoxville, TN; and daughter Jill Day and her fiancé Jay Wall, Seymour, TN. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy Lynn Arrington and his wife Gale, Oxford, MS.
