Funeral services for Mr. James "Jim" L. Jarchow will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10am until the hour of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Mr. Jarchow, 69, of Aiken, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Geneva, IL, he was the son of the late Arvid and Ebba Wallmark Jarchow. He moved to Aiken in 2003 from Gold Beach, OR. He was a retired truck driver and hair dresser. Jim was an avid golfer and loved working in his yard, and loved the outdoors. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary Bastian.
