The Funeral Liturgy for Mr. Earl M. Stanley will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC with Rev. James LeBlanc, celebrant. Interment with Masonic Rites accorded will follow in the Elsmore Cemetery, Elsmore, KS. Pallbearers will be Perry, John, T.J., and Craig Stanley and Tony Zionkowski and Wade North. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Gary and Sharon Stanley. Mr. Stanley, 88, of Pharr, TX, died Friday, morning, September 23, 2005 at the home of his son, Gary, in Aiken, SC. Born in Elsmore, KS, a son of the late Lewis C. and Artie Page Stanley, he had been a resident of Pharr, TX since 1996. Mr. Stanley retired from the Halliburton Company where he was a manager after over forty years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Virginia Lodge #315 in Savonburg, KS for over sixty years and a Scottish Rite Mason for over fifty years. He was also a Noble and life member in the Khiva Shrine Temple of Amarillo, TX and was active in many Masonic charities throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He spent years on the water boating and skiing and was an active water skier at the age of seventy-five. He was particularly proud that he taught all of his grandchildren and several of his great grandchildren to water ski. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Blanche Cox Stanley and he is survived by a daughter, Barbara R. Rees, Stanton, TX; sons, Donald Earl ?Don? Stanley, Elsmore, KS and Gary Wayne Stanley, Sharon Aiken, SC; his dear friend, Lucy Mager, Pharr, TX; seven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.Memorials may be made the Galveston Shriners Hospital, 815 Market St., Galveston, TX 77550-2725
