Funeral Services for Mr. Homer Baughman will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2pm at New Beginnings Church, Aiken. Pallbearers will be Matt Herron, Jamie Herron, David Harley, Freddie Baughman, Jr., Chris Colster and Chuch Herron. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Division at NIH, 9000 Rockville Pike Bethesda, MD 20892.
Mr. Baughman, 70, of Aiken, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at his residence.
A son of the late John Arnold and Rosa Lee Wood Baughman, he was a life long resident of Aiken County. He was a retired carpenter at the SRS, where he worked for over 24 years in ?F Area?. He was known for his building and racing of stock cars. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a daughter; Gwendolyn Rose Baughman and siblings Fredia Baughman, Betty Jane Brady and Ray Baughman.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Jean Baughman, Aiken, four daughters; Diana Marie Joe Undertilo, Aiken, Belinda Lynn John Ledbetter, Aiken, Deborah Jean Phillip Moseley, Aiken and Betsy Ann Keith Fox, Monetta, two brothers; John Arnold Baughman, Jr. and Hal Baughman, four sisters; Arlene Smith, Hazel Probst, Rose Ann Rainsford and Laurel Hope. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Jean Nicole Chris Thomas, Curtis Lane Moseley, Diana Christine Undertilo, Brittany Lynn Ledbetter and Whitney Lauren Undertilo and two great granddaughters; Destiny Jean Thomas and Kristin Allie Thomas.
