Thanks for being my 2nd mom, 2nd grandma and travel buddy! We had some good times together, that's for sure. I can still hear you laughing and smiling as it takes a quirky one to know one. Glad Guy and Jenn threw us some peanuts to keep us on our game. You will certainly be missed.

I met Sandy at a local book club and she was always so spunky and delightful. She treated me like a daughter and will be greatly missed.

Although we went to the same church in NJ for 30 years my husband and I really got to know Sandie and Guy when they moved to South Carolina. They invited us to visit them and see what Cedar Creek was like. From those visits I got to know Sandie much better and had such good times with them. Their hospitality was so warm and friendly and we learned a lot about Aiken and Cedar Creek. As others have said, she had such a great laugh it was truly contagious.
The stories she told in a way only Sandie could do would make you laugh so much sometimes I could hardly catch my breath. She was also a good sport and if you wanted to do something she would at least try it. One hot & humid Friday evening in the summer when we visited them we played Couples golf. Because of the heat none of us were doing well and Sandie was having trouble keeping her glasses on. They kept fogging up and sliding off her nose so she could hardly see. We all started laughing so much none of us could stop and there went our golf game.
There was also a quiet side to Sandy, a peaceful soul, a servant of God who got her strength from him and is now in Heaven with him.
Guy, you were blessed with a great partner. May God give you strength to continue.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss Greg. Your mom was a beautiful woman inside and out. And a loving friend to my mom especially. God Bless you and your family.

"Sandra Kay" - How often you are in my thoughts. I have 2 favorite memories of you at Myrtle Beach. The first one was at Angelo's Restaurant. After having a couple of glasses of wine, the magician came to our table and did his magic at our table. We laughed until we couldn't laugh any more. That's when I discovered what a great sense of humor you had and your silliness that I loved to watch and be a part of. The second time was in a hotel room with a group of fun loving women. While watching the Olympics late at night, something got us tickled about "the tea kettles" and the "brooms". I can't remember a time that we laughed so hard that the furniture shook! You made many of my days brighter with your infectious smile. I know you are at peace with God today. That is a blessing for me and those who love you. May your silliness shine through to us from time to time - a quick wink from up above!
In gratitude and love, Jeryl Ann!

Mom, you were awesome. No one believed in me more than you. You instilled in me the passion of exercise and gave me the belief that I could do anything in life no matter how hard the challenge. I will miss you more than you will ever know. Especially the time we spent chatting about my frustrations. I wish I wasn't so far away and could have seen you more over the last 3 years. I hope you know I did come home to see you when you fell ill and I will be there for your memorial service as you are my mom and I will always love you, You will be with me till the day I join you by gods side. I hope you find Chub Cat in heaven as I am sure he needs to be brushed. Its been a hard year losing you and my favourite cat chub......

We came to know Sandie, and Guy, only too briefly after settling in this place called Cedar Creek. From the first social gathering, however, Sandie became an instant friend - one you felt you had known for much longer. Always with a smile, quick to laugh, and quick to praise, Sandie was one you wanted to be around. She was handling the adversity in life as well as anyone we have ever known. This wonderful lady has left us much too soon. She'll be greatly missed by so many.

John and I will never forget all the good times we had on our porch on Windermere. You would be out for a nice healthy walk and see us on our porch having a glass of wine. You would immediately detour over for a glass of Chianti with us and the walk would go out the window. We will miss our dinners at the Willcox and lunch at the Red Pepper. You always made us laugh. It was so obvious that you and Guy were so much in love and were best friends. We will take good care of him. Rest in peace, my friend.

I'm just remembering all the funny, cooky times that I've spent with you, Sandie. You were a real cracker! Kept me on my toes, that's for sure. Couldn't have asked for a better second mommy! Thank you, Sandie, for sharing your "baby boy" with me, for always having a big, beautiful smile and open arms to greet me. Walks in Cedar Creek and trips to Hobby Lobby will never be quite the same. Love you always and miss you tons!

I read somewhere not long ago that we are the legacy we leave behind. If this is true then clearly you were and are really something! Among other things two fine children, one of whom who has been a dear, and trusted friend for many years. She didn't become the fine woman she is by accident, and I'm certain others would say very much the same of your son. I am sorry I didn't have the opportunity to know you better, but I do remember being a guest in your home. That memory came back to me when I opened this page, for I saw your picture and remembered that I had seen that smile before. Our world may be darker without that smile, but certainly heaven is a little brighter today.

I have never personally met Sandie Haff but I feel that I knew her well, having taught with her daughter, Jenn, for many years. The relationship was a strong and loving one and Sandie will be greatly missed. The thing to remember is that many people come and go in our lives but a Mom is forever. Rest in peace Sandie.

I remember when I first moved here how helpful & informative & welcoming you were. My very favorite memory is when you & Guy brought me to see Jason Sikes: you told me no one could live in Aiken without seeing him perform Elvis at least once!
You are one of a kind Sandie,

No one had a bigger heart and was a better friend than Sandie. We were like Lucy and Ethel and had so much fun doing stupid things. We could laugh hysterically over nothing and usually did. I am so grateful that she was a part of my life and will miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers go out to Guy, Jenn and Greg. What a great lady she was and I was blessed to have known her. Love and miss you.
