Bradley Edwin Grimes, III, 74, of Aiken, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. A private memorial service will be held at a later date, under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Savannah River Cancer Foundation, PO Box 3694, Aiken, SC 29802. Mr. Grimes was born in Camden, NJ, a son of the late Bradley and Barbara Belknap Grimes. He was a 1960 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy. He served in the US Army, stationed in Berlin, Germany from 1960-1963. He worked in sales, real estate and retired from Aurora Financial. Mr. Grimes has been a resident of Aiken since 2006, having moved from Haddonfield, NJ. He loved golfing, gardening, LGB Trains, water gardens, cooking, sailing and movies. Most of all, he loved spending time laughing with family and friends, entertaining and a good party. The family would like to give a special thanks to the residents and staff at Trinity on Laurens. Survivors include his daughters, Barbara L. Grimes (Anthony) of Aiken and Heidi Grimes-Godfrey (Benjie) of Roswell, Georgia; granddaughters, Jade and Jules Godfrey; a sister, Joy Nowak (Paul) of Topsfield, MA; nephews, Stephen and Gregory Nowak and a niece, Karen Jellow and cousins, Barbara McKay of South Hampton, NJ, Nancy Cuzzimano (Nick) of Glasgow, Virginia and Dorie Neuber of Marlton, NJ.
