Etta was a great sister-in-law and a special friend. I have been out of the country much of the time in recent years and could not keep in touch, but she was always in my heart and thoughts. My heart goes out to Ben and all the kids. My memories of good times during our early years of marriage and having our children are ever present.
Etta was like my second mom and I learned a lot from her over the 19 years that we were neighbors on Tarrywood Lane in Charlotte, NC. What a wonderful lady, wife, mother and grandmother she was. She always had time to help others in her busy schedule. I will cherish the photos that I have of Etta and remember the wonderful memories growing up living next to her in Charlotte for so many years. She was always there for me and my family. What a wonderful person and I am truly blessed to have known her. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Sincerely, Lori Broome
