CHARLESTON, SC- Mrs. Patricia Schwab Chismar, age 88, formerly of Evans Road, Aiken, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Manor. Mrs. Chismar was born March 17, 1927 in Fairfax County, Virginia to the late Richard and Alice Mae Hewitt Schwab. Mrs. Chismar was a faithful and active member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. She was a life member of Daughters of the King, a member of the Cereus Garden Club and volunteered for the Soup Kitchen at St. Thaddeus and the Aiken County Help Line. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and servant of the Lord. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chismar was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul H. Chismar. Survivors include a son, Kent W. Chismar, Isle of Palms, SC; two grandchildren, Kelly Chismar and Katherine Chismar, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a great-granddaughter, Mya Dozier; two sisters, Barbara S. Holmes, New Port Richey, FL and Betty S. Sutton, of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Father Grant B. Wiseman will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Daughters of the King.
