Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Mae Cox Moore, 94, of Aiken will be held 2 PM Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Patterson. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Mrs. Moore, widow of Louie Moore, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Born in Walhalla, SC, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ada Slater Cox. Mrs. Moore was a member of Kedron Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Wagener, SC. Mrs. Moore enjoyed quilting and loved her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Len & Tim Fox. Surviving are daughters, Louise Fox of Batesburg, Linda Bledsoe Doug of Elloree, Lunette Winburn of Aiken and Lois Christensen Ben of Aiken; sons, Roy Moore Shirley of Plantersville, Texas, Edgar Moore Hope of Hepzibah, Georgia, Walter Moore Margie of Knoxville, TN, David Moore Linda, Harold "Buddy" Moore Linda and Mike Moore Melissa all of Aiken; a sister, Ruby McCall of Aiken; 30 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
