Ryan James Jessop, 26, of Aiken, SC, formerly of Dauphin, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aiken under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Born in Paterson, NJ, Ryan was the beloved son of Russ and Kathleen McManamey Jessop, and brother of Kristin Jessop. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he volunteered with the Vacation Bible School and helped his parents host coffee hours. He was an alumnus of Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA, where he was a member of the Astronomy Club, the Amateur Radio Club, and the Latin Club. Ryan was an Eagle Scout, an Extra Class Ham Radio Operator( KB3MIL), and a home brewer. He held a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He also enjoyed hiking, reading and playing video games. Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Kate McManamey, and an uncle, Jimmy McManamey. Survivors include his parents of the home; his little sister, Kristin Jessop and her fiancé, Jason Wagner of Warner Robins, GA; his paternal grandfather, Russell S. Jessop of Spotswood, NJ; his paternal grandmother, Carole Neal of Georgetown, DE; his Aunt Karen and Uncle Bob McCrimlisk of Sparta, NJ and Aunt Elaine and Uncle Steve Hoehner of Memphis, NY; his "Uncle" Richie Jackson and "Aunt" Kim of New Providence, NJ; cousins, Robbie and Joe McCrimlisk, both of Sparta, NJ, his furry friends, Luna and Oreo, and his fish, Mortimer.
