This wonderful man cared for me from 1973-1980. He supported my decision to NOT get chemotherapy or radiation treatment. I looked forward to each visit with him. I have had a full life for the past 38 years, marrying a wonderful lady from Chicago and having two wonderful children now in their 30's.
Lenny inspired me when I was down and was always laughing and a cut up.
I did not quite understand just how accomplished he was at the time.
What treasure.
I had back surgery recently and Len came into my thoughts while I was recuperating.
Len, I am sure your family carries on your wonderful legacy.
Thanks my friend for adding wonderful years to my life.
May God bless you all.

Dearest Dorothy: Our hearts ache so much for you and for your family. We loved Lennard so very much, and told him so every time we spoke with him. We also know how much you loved him - you were an Angel in the way you cared for Lennard. May you find comfort in the love of family and friends - you know how much we wish that we could be with you during this very difficult time. We shared so many happy hours together, and when things are quiet here, I can still hear his unforgettable laugh . . .
We love you and hope to be with you very soon. Come home anytime. Love Giulio and Jerri

Though you've both been gone from the area for many years, you, Dorothy, and Dr. Gold have often been in our thoughts. The two of you and you were a team gave me the years to see my children grow, and now see their children grow. A more decent man and skilled doctor I've never met.

Dear Dottie and family,
I will always remember his certain smile, his warmth and above all, the way he cared for his patients. Also the phone calls for " recalculating the creatinine clearances "! Back then without computer help.
May you find comfort and peace, knowing that he doesn't have to suffer any longer.
My heartfelt sympathy.
Sincerely, Claudia

Dottie, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. He was a great doctor, and, to me, a wonderful human being. I know he had his moments, but he always had the well-being of his patients at heart. I will never forget his cat stories, or the way he made my mom laugh. He will be missed. God bless

Remembering with unimaginable sadness the warmth, the smiles, the hearty chuckle, and above all else the skill of the one who saved my life for what is now 30+ years since first surgery.
