Funeral services for Nellie Lybrand Hallman will be held Monday August 19th at 4:00pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. John Wertz officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Visitation will at the funeral home from 2pm until the time of the service.
Memorial donations should be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church 961 Trail Ridge Rd. Aiken SC 29801.
Mrs. Hallman, 75, of Aiken, died Friday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A daughter of the late Emanuel L. Lybrand and Cora Lee Lybrand Weathersbee, she was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a 1945 graduate of Aiken High School and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was very proud that her grandfather, John Lybrand was one of the founders of her church.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Eugene Glen, Jr. and three brothers; Herman, William and Ray Lybrand. She is survived by her husband Eugene Glen Hallman, Aiken, a son; Glen Hallman, Aiken, two daughters; Sheri DeWitt, Aiken and Janet Mattocks, Aiken, two brothers; Tom Lybrand, Aiken and Edward Lybrand, Dolerita, CA, three sisters; Mattie Jackson DiSanto, Seneca Falls, NY, Bessie Lowe, New Ellenton and Mary Hooper, Warrenville, and seven grandchildren; Amanda Lott, Lara Lott and Misty Lott, all of Columbia and Jeff DeWitt, Sarah DeWitt, Glen Hallman and Brad Hallman, all of Aiken
