"No One Can Ever Take Your Place"
Your kind heart, smiling face,
Each step you took with such grace,
As now you have left an empty space,
No one can ever take your place.
A grave shame, who were we to blame?
As God came, taking you away,
All we do now is pray, not knowing what to say,
On the 24th of November, our last day.
Our heads are bowed low, the pain trying not to show,
Sitting here reminiscing, we began missing,
Our father, our brother, our friend, we can no longer pretend,
As much as we hate it, he's dead.
You have reached eternal life, forever free,
A journey we will all take,
As you stare down and smile,
Awaiting our arrival.
For now your memory still shines bright,
Inside us all, not allowing us to fall.
As we all stand tall, the way you would want it to be,
As once more I will see your face,
No One Can Ever Take Your Place!
In loving memory of Arden Eric Toepke!

Our condolences to Arden\'s family. We were both graduates of WHS in 1947. Arden and I played football together. Our senior year we lost only one game - that to Waupaca, who were the league champions. Our nick-names were Wiener for Werner and Peck don\'t know where that originated for Arden. He was a happy-go-lucky person and I always enjoyed being around him. God\'s blessings to all of you.

Hey Patti,
Janet told me about your dad. Trust me, I totally understand what you are going through. Everyone can say a whole lot of things, but nothing helps but the Lord and time. It has now been 3 years since my dad went to Heaven and sometimes it seems like uesterday. Though we have not stayed in touch, I still consider you to be a treasured friend and I care about you and what you are are to face over time. We shared a lot of good times together which I have not forgotten. Please give me a call to talk at any given time 593-2237. Take care and we will be praying for you and your family. Tell your mom I am thinking about her as well.
