I am so sorry in sending late condolences. It is just now that I found it as I am working on my family tree. Bill was my first cousin on my dad's side of the family. Since he was older than my sister and I, we didn't get to know him that well, but did get to know him since my Aunt Margaret spoke of him often. We enjoyed his yearly letter keeping us up to date on his family. I was just thinking the other day that we would not be receiving this again this year. Bless you all.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know that while your wonderful husband/father was serving his country, you were serving and sacrificing along with him. I hope your visit to Arlington will be meaningful for all of you.
Ruth, I apologize once again for the failure of the US Army to send a Casualty Assistance Officer to help you through this process.
God Bless you.

Ruth, you and Bill added many wonderful memories to my life; and while I extend you my heartfelt sympathy and love in your loss, remember: Bill's "chair was ready first; we could not all go at the same time but know where to find him." ... from a 1756 Benjamin Franklin letter to his niece upon her Father's death and so relevant now in Bill's going to be with our Lord. You are in my prayers, Ruth.
