Obituary of Wyman D. Seigler

AIKEN, SC - Wyman Duncan Seigler, age 80, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Seigler was born on March 21, 1936 in Aiken, SC to the late George Preston Seigler and Lessie Scott Seigler. He was a life-long area resident and was the owner and operator of Aiken Well Drilling for over forty years. He enjoyed working on his farm and hunting. He was a good friend and everyone had a story about him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Seigler was preceded in death by his siblings, Frank, Jimmy, George, Ralph, Clyde, and Harold "Buddy" Seigler, Lizzie Owens, Margie, and Gladys Seigler.
Survivors include his long-time and devoted companion, Dorothy Gunter; a daughter, Cathy Bland (Wallis); a son, Wyman Scott Seigler (Monnica); five grandchildren, Carson and Natalie Grace Bland and McKenzie, Joshua, and Lucas Seigler; two daughters, Patricia Spooner (John) and Lisa Hodges (Blair), all of Aiken, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM this Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Good Hope Baptist Church. Don Lemons and Mike Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at the Seigler Homestead. Pallbearers will be Pat Tilmon, Wallis C. Bland, Sr., Lester Mills, Jr., Bubba Toole, Ronald Lanier, David Holley, Maynard Proctor, and John Argo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Head, Bill Keller, Glen Jeffcoat, Roosevelt Crawford, and Lee Cheeks.
The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 AM until the hour of the service.
The family would like to thank Regency Hospice for their compassionate care. A special appreciation of love and gratitude is extended to Pam Randolph, Mildred Watson, and Dora Gunter.
