Obituary of Helen Agnes Cushman

Helen Agnes Cushman, 91, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Home, Aiken, South Carolina where she resided for the past two years.
She was born on August 12, 1915 in Fairmount, North Dakota. She was a daughter of Ernest and Ida Allensbach Witt. She grew up on the family farm near Campbell, Minnesota.
In her younger years, she did some traveling, but eventually spent most of her life in Pasadena, Maryland. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper/office manager for her husband's business. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, cooking, and bowling. She bowled until she was eighty-five years old and she enjoyed every game.
At the age of eighty-nine years old, she relocated to Aiken, South Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick E. Cushman; one brother, Fred W. Witt; both sisters, Louise Jorgenson and Laura Fett; one step-grandson, Dennis Lively II; and one great-grandson, Matthew Gillstrom.
Survivors include her daughter Diane Tony Bailer of Aiken, South Carolina; sons, Robert Donna Cushman of Campbell, California and Randy Kathy Samuelson of Marine, Minnesota; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; brother Wally Witt of Mercer Island, Washington and dear friend of fifty years, Opal Haught of Manns Choice, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Cushman will be laid to rest at the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, Maryland. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
