A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Veronica Margaret Donovan will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date at Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. The family will receive friends after the service in Smith Hall at the church. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Mrs. Donovan, 90, of Aiken, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Carriage Hills Living Center. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Mary Underwood Ryan. Mrs. Donovan moved to Aiken in 1986 from Wilmington, DE. She was a parishioner, member of the Women's Club, and Seniors Club at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She was also a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis, and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Donovan was predeceased by her husband, Frederick J. Donovan. She is survived by her sons, Frank Kathleen Donovan, Granby, MA, Thomas Donovan, Birmingham, AL, Jim Donovan, Aiken, brother, Joseph E. Ryan, Wilmington, DE, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
