AIKEN, SC -- Forest E. Burford, age 80, entered into rest peacefully Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Burford was born August 4, 1936 in Charleston, W.V. to the late Robert A. Burford, Sr. and the late Martha F. McLanahan. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Cable Splicer in the Telephone Industry. Mr. Burford was a member of Bible Faith Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Burford was preceded in death by a son, Steven Burford; and a brother, Robert A. Burford, Jr. He is survived his beloved wife, Chamroon T. Burford; a daughter, Denise Homchenko (Clifford) of Erie, PA; three sons, Dennis W. Burford, Philadelphia, PA; William D. Burford, Erie, PA, and Robert D. Burford (Chris), Philadephia, PA; two sisters, Mary Ellen Maddox (Eugene), Charleston W.V. and Phyllis Turner, Corydan. IN; a brother, Charles E. Burford (Marietta); and two grandchildren, Lisa Homchenko and Lindsey Homchenko. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Bible Faith Holiness Church with Rev. Eddie Moyer officiating.
