Mrs. Lillian L. Vasvary Boerger, 92, of Aiken, died Thursday November 10, 2005 at Eden Gardens, Aiken, . Funeral services will be private and are under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 21 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Arpad and Irma Petnofsky Vasvary. Before moving to Aiken in 2001, she had resided in several South Florida communities. Mrs. Boerger had worked as a teacher?s aid secretary for the Dade County, Fl. School system. A devoted wife and mother, she also was an avid reader, enjoyed going to yard sales, listening to country music and gardening. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Frederick G. Boerger, who died on September 4, 2005 and a brother, Albert Lloyd Vasvary. Mrs. Boerger is survived by two daughters; Diane B. Andersen, Metuchen, NJ and Jacqueline B. Harley, Beech Island, SC, five grandchildren; Charlene Dunbar, Batesburg, SC, Sharon Hamilton, Aiken, Patrick Harley, Beech Island, Audrey Sahaj, Fanwood, NJ and Edward Andersen, Metuchen, NJ. She is also survived by four, great grandchildren.
