Jean was like my second Mama since she practically raised me. I spent a lot of time at her house with Becky and Gina. She was such a positive influence in my life growing up. I am so sorry about your mom. I know what it is like to lose mom after surgery and all the things she had to go through. I have so many sweet memories of your mom when I was going up to Red Cross, and when we were kids in NE. She was a sweetheart, and I am glad I got to see her before I left Aiken to come back to Scotland. You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. Becky, I will talk to you soon. Growing up in New Ellenton, our friends' mothers were our mothers too. I am so sad for the loss of another New Ellenton mother. I have so many wonderful childhood memories that include Jean and Becky. She loved her girls! Sending my love to all of you!

im very saddened by the news.jean was a dear friend and family member.she came and picked me up when i was in training in the army back in 1985.we talked and she told me to do my best and good things would happen for me.i spent almost ten years in the military.i went to iraq in 91 and she sent me care packages in the mail.i didnt get to spend much more time than that with her.i loved my cousin very much.im making arrangements to attend her memorial.may she rest in peace,and her memories be treasured by all.
