AIKEN, SC - Ronald Reed Crofts, age 69, entered into rest on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Mr. Crofts was born January 20, 1948 in Yokuska, Japan to Lorena May Crofts and the late Paul Victor Crofts. He received his Bachelor's Degree from California Polytechnic University. He had been a resident of Aiken, SC since 1989, having previously lived in Bay City, Texas. He attended Grace Church and retired from Bechtel. Mr. Crofts will be remembered for his love of framing, camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed the ocean and mountains. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Crofts. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathy Crofts; a daughter, Natalie Drake, Aiken, SC; a son, Colin Crofts (Jill), Ellijay, GA; five grandchildren, Neil Drake, Cameron Drake, Blain Drake, Shawn Crofts, and Haley Crofts; and a brother, Victor Crofts, New Ellenton, SC. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Grace Church. Pastors Don Soule and Steve Taylor will officiate.
