Memorial services for Mrs. Charlotte Long Mills will be held Friday, September 29, 2006 at 2PM at St. John's United Methodist Church with Dr. George Howle officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Agee, Ferrell Rogers, Tommy Loftin, Alan C. Mason, and Richard K. Bible. Memorial contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Association, 500 Taylors Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC, 29201 or the Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd, Greeneville, SC, 29605. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Mills, 81, of Aiken, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Pepper Hill Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. Mills was born in Terre Haute, IN to the late George L. and Clara M. Long. She had lived in Chicago, IL before moving to Aiken in 1961. Charlotte was a member of St John's United Methodist Church, Shriners Club, Eastern Star, America Junior Miss Pageant. Mrs. Mills owned Charlotte's Bridal Shop, where she was a bridal consultant and wedding planner for over twenty years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mills was predeceased by her husband, Frank L. Mills, sons, Stephen M. Mills, John A. Mills. Mrs. Mills is survived by her sister, Anna Mae Hiller, granddaughter, Tracy J. Christian nieces, Stephanie Welton Mason, Melva W. Bible, Dee W. Richardson.
