Funeral services for Mr. Dewitt Townsend Barton will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 1pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW Aiken with Rev. Ernest Webb officiating. Interment will be in Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be WJ Scott, Jason Bryant, Gary Ethridge, Jorge Mendez, Brandon Hall, Robbie Brave. Honorary pallbearer will be Joaquin Mendez. Visitation will be tonight Monday 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way, Aiken, SC 29803 Mr. Barton, 52, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Barton was born in Aiken County, SC to the late John and Sadie Stone Barton. He had work for a number of years at the Graniteville Company and was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. Mr Barton is predeceased by a brother Buddy Barton, and his ?Nanny", Essie Stone Green. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Stewart Barton; 3 sons, Taniel Barton, Evans GA, Kenny Barton, Aiken, Jonathon Barton, Windsor; daughter, Jessica Barton, Windsor; 3 sisters, Essie Lee Scott, Josie Mae Whittle, Eloise Dyches, special father in law, Hurbert Stewart; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Key, Naudica Barton, Anslee Barton, Devon Wilson, and Lawton Holbrooks.
