Guy was a most generous & caring soul. He was a father to me, especially after mine had passed 3 years ago. He reminded me so much of my own dad in terms of his strength, fortitude and integrity. Everyone who met him, liked him. He had a way of making people feel at ease and laugh. The guy with all the little bits of trivia and historical knowledge to share.
My only consolation is that he can be at peace, pain-free and happy now with the love his life, Sandy, who's been waiting for him in Heaven these past two years. I'm sure she's had her mahjong board ready to take him on, planned all the best walks to take and now he can finish new puzzles, that'll have as many pieces as he wants, of even more beautiful places.
A strong Marine, a wonderful human being, a kind soul...much loved and missed already by his adopted daughter. I'll try to keep your son on track & in line for you down here. Thank you for trusting me with one of your most precious creations. He will continually strive to make you proud of the man he is (although, I know that you already are!).
Thank you for all the wonderful time you did spent with me and great memories. All my love to you, Guy. Give Sandy a big hug and kiss for me when you see her.

Dad you were the person I most wanted to be like. A truly great man who shared so much with the world and gave more than he took from life. You always amazed me with your ability to make life fun and enjoyable. I will miss you more than you will ever know. Its been hard living in Australia not having you at a moments notice to help me work through things. I loved you more than I probably ever told you. I hope your pain is gone and you are in heaven with Mom, Errol, and Chub. You may not be here now, but you will never be forgotten and your legacy will live on in the many lessons you taught us.

No words can express how much I loved you Dad. You were not only my father, but also my best friend. I will miss our hikes, puzzle and crossword sessions and "brown sign" excursions. I will miss you so much, but I will soldier on just like you always did. I will take care of Larry and Curley too.
Rest in peace Dad. You are in a better place now, no longer sick, out of pain and with Mom once again.

In the fourteen years I have lived in Cedar Creek I have met many wonderful individuals who I considered it an honor to call a friend. Without a doubt Guy was one of those at the top of this list. It didn't make any difference if it was playing a not so serious round of golf or attending a high school football game, Guy was a great companion. He fought the good fight and never complained. Now he is with Sandie.

I'll always remember those "Anything But Golf" hikes that Guy led through Hitchcock Woods. He was an amazing fighter. While battling his own illness, Guy lost his loving wife Sandy. I just saw Guy recently shopping with his daughter from N J after seeing him at IHOP. Nothing stopped him from getting out. Great friend.
