Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Hutto Ennis will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 1 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Carl Hayes and Pastor Leon Trowell officiating. Pallbearers will be James Ennis, John Prince, Chip Prince, Shannon LaBorde, Ricky Hutson, and Chad Ennis. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Ennis, 81, of Warrenville, SC, wife of the late John A. Ennis, died Sunday, afternoon, October 17, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Gaston, SC, a daughter of the late Peter Roy and Martha Hutto, she had been a resident of Warrenville, SC, for the last sixteen years. She retired from Wagener Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Daughters, Shirley and husband Mac LaBorde, and Linda Prince, sons, Dewey Ennis, David and wife Annette Ennis, and Larry and wife Gloria Ennis, grandchildren Ricky Hutson, Shannon LaBorde, Chip Prince, John Prince, Beverly Griggs, Chad Ennis, James L. Ennis, Jr., Doug Ennis, Marlene Ennis, Davey Ennis, Anne Ennis, and Tara; and great-grandchildren, Michael Hutson, Ryan Hutson, Cameron LaBorde, Chase LaBorde, Lauren Prince, Joseph Prince, IV, Haley, Alexandria, Devin, Chris, Keri, Steven, Michael Ennis, Kaley Ennis, Brittney Ennis, and Jacob Ennis, survive. In addition to her parents and husband, a son, John Carlton Ennis, also preceded her in death. The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mrs. Ennis be made to Aiken County Council on Aging, c/o Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 3156, Aiken. SC 29802.
