Helen and Tony sat on the right side of CTR, outside aisle - about row 5. My husband and I sat row 7, right side but center aisle. Since we were both from northern Illinois we had things to talk about. Our oldest daughter, who is now 35, graduated from IIT in 2002 (now a chemical engineer in Orlando, FL). Spring break of 2001 Beth had three of her IIT classmates in Tulsa and attended a Lenten service. They enjoyed Tony's history of IIT (was Armour Institute when he was there). Helen was also an active LWML sister with me. Cherry Volberding, Christ the Redeemer Lutheran, Tulsa, OK

Helen was always such a joy for Pastor & me to see and be with. She radiated her love for Jesus and made everyone around her feel better for having visited with her. Thank you for sharing her with us and always being so faithful in bringing her to church. We are soooo happy we were able to see her when we were at Bethlehem on September 27th. God be with you as you grieve over her loss; but don't grieve for Helen as she's rejoicing with her Lord in heaven. You are all in our prayers, especially Sue as she struggles with her illness. With our love and blessings, Pastor & Carol Reiter

I was blessed to know Helen for years here in Tulsa. We shared golf and Lutheran Women's Missionary League work together at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She and Tony were wonderful people that God blessed us with. Her work for missions and spreading the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ in her quiet way endeared her to many of us. Also, her dedication in caring for her mother was so amazing. I loved her very much. I have many happy memories!
With Christian sympathy and caring,
Patti Ross

Helen was such a wonderful influence in my life for over 60 years - directly and through her children and grandchildren. I have known her to be such a kind, gentle and considerate soul, who was good at taking care of those who needed it. Distance, whether down the block, across the state of Oklahoma or moving to South Carolina, never dimmed our family's communication! Her presence, kind words, notes and cards will be sorely missed. Much love to you, Helen! - Carol Gasser Moore and family (Pete and foster children Kara, Angela and Jon).

Helen was such a wonderful person. She always had a smile on her face and always willing to help with any project that she could handle. She will be missed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. There are so many things good to say about her and not enough room to little.
God rest your soul. Love Beverly & Jack Vecchione
