Aiken, SC-Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Kathryn Mary Carney Ferriter will be celebrated Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 11 AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC, with Father James LeBlanc, celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers for the service will be David R. Davis, Jason A. Davis, Adam P. Davis, Michael P. Davis, Timothy P. Hass, and Leland P. Ferriter. Honorary Pallbearers will be John R. Martin, Dennis B. Martin, Thomas P. Ferriter, II., and Daniel B. Martin. A Christian Wake Service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at 7 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with the family receiving friends following the service until 9 PM. Mrs. Ferriter, 81, of Aiken, SC, widow of Mr. Paul Thomas Ferriter, died Saturday, afternoon, May 10, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Westfield, MA, and a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1952, she was a daughter of the late Patrick William and Mary Elizabeth Graham Carney. She was a homemaker, a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, St. Mary Women?s Club and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Sons, John Richard Ferriter, Columbia, SC, David Michael Ferriter, Moore, SC, Thomas Patrick Ferriter, and Mark Joseph Ferriter, both of Aiken, SC; daughters, Judith Ann Davis and Mary Eileen Hass, both of Aiken, SC; sister, Helen Montagna, Sterling, MA; eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, survive.
