I am so sorry for your loss. My father passed away unexpectedly on Mother's Day of this year. I know how hard it is, but just know both are in a better place now.

You guys know I love you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember the love that you guys have always shown to me and my family. Words cannot describe how sad I am that "Big Steve" is gone...My fondest memory is of him taking me to a horse show in North Augusta. We stopped to get a drink and some snacks at a little store on the way and when we got back in the truck he started singing "Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" to me - guess he knew even then I wouldn't make it as a jockey either...Ever since that day, that has been one of my favorite songs and everytime I hear it I will think of him, as I always have, and how he passed on his love of horses to me Lord knows, it didn't come from my mom...My heart is broken for you and for everyone that will miss his warm smile and his gentle laugh. You guys are like second family to me. I know that he is in Heaven and is having a GREAT time but I wish I had just "one more ride at the farm". Be strong, even though this is a very hard time for you, remember that the Lord will see you through, he promises that...if you need ANYTHING at all, please let me know. I Love You!!

Mrs. Margaret, Steve, Christy, and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I know it must be hard to say goodbye. I know he is in a better place and he is not suffering anymore, in which I rejoice. I also rejoice in the life and example that he lived. I enjoyed the Sundays that I had to share in his teaching, whenever I could come home to visit, and seeing his love for God and his family and church family. Just want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Amy Pope

My prayers are with all of the family at this time of grief. I loved my first cousin, Steve, and will so miss him. Even though I didn't talk or see him often, I always knew he was a phone call away in SC.I now look forward to seeing Steve again in Heaven.
