Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Coming from Hanford in 1988, I got the opportunity to work with Bill in Savannah River Lab's reactor group. At Hanford, the original DuPont engineers and scientists had long moved on. But at Savannah River, I found many of the mythical 'Old Ones' who had designed and built the plant still on the job. Bill certainly deserves a spot in that select group - a truly world-class scientist but with no airs or pretension, willing to show the 'new kid' the ropes while sharing tales of his latest escapades. Always a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed. Wade and Linnea Bickford, Aiken
