A Requiem Mass for Bonnie Labeda Bentley will be celebrated at 3 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 until 2:30 at George Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Bentley, 76, of Aiken, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Born in Ashland, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Sorrell Labeda. A communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Mrs. Bentley was also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary. She was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Bowling League. Mrs. Bentley was also a former owner of a shop in the Alley during the mid 80's called Country Garden and was a teacher's aide at Oakwood Windsor Elementary School. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and making stained glass.
Survivors include: a daughter, Shana Gregoretti (Tommy) of Long Beach, New York; a son, Steven Gruber (Beatriz) of Long Beach, New York; sisters, Betty Hass (Robert) of Aiken, Beverly Lehl (Ernie) of Memasha, Wisconsin and Bridget Peters (Richard) of Schenectady, NY; 4 grandchildren, Melissa, Timothy, Alexandra and Jacqueline.
