Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth J. Bledsoe will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at 2 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Greenville, SC, with Reverend Sheila Rogers and Reverend Dr. Bob James officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, November 10, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., Aiken, SC. The family will also receive friends Tuesday, November 11, 2003 from 12:30 until the hour of service at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Mrs. Bledsoe, 78, of Aiken, SC, wife of James Allen Bledsoe, died Saturday, evening, November 8, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in and resident of Lyman, SC, until 1952, she was a daughter of the late Milton H. and Ennis Marie Cargill Jones. Mrs. Bledsoe was the first female security patrol at E.I. DuPont where she retired in 1988 with over twenty-years of service. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed watching Braves baseball and Tennis. In addition to her husband, a son, John C. and his wife, Valerie Cox, Aiken, SC; and granddaughters, Angela and Erin Cox, Aiken, SC, survive. The family has requested memorials in memory of Mrs. Bledsoe be made to St. John?s United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 809, Aiken, SC 29802.
