Graveside funeral services for Mr. George Murray Dominick, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 1:30pm at Aiken Memorial Gardens with Rev. George Howle officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 128 Stonemark Lane Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Dominick, 84, of Aiken, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at his residence. A son of the late Claude B. Dominick and Laura T. Crouch Dominick, he was born on October 27, 1922 in Booklet, GA. And had lived in Old Fort, NC, before moving back to Aiken in 1966. He was a graduate of the old Aiken Institute. He served in the US Navy during WWII and then went to work as an auditor for United Merchants and Manufactures Textile, Bath, SC where he worked for 41 years. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, Aiken. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years , Yvonne Laws Dominick, Aiken, a son; George M. Dominick, Jr., Graniteville, SC, three daughters; Deborah Ann Dominick, Aiken, SC, Linda Marie Dominick Seely, Graniteville, SC and Phyllis Kay Wingate, Lexington, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
