Dear Janet,
though I hadn't seen Charles in years, I remember how much he loved being around Gene and me (who was then called Michael). He called us Beckymichael, one word, because we were always together. I remember Gene playing on the walkie talkies with Charles, mimicking exactly the sounds he made. Charles though it was hilarious and Paula and her mother and I were all rolling on the floor with laughter.
He was a strange, wonderful guy. I remember how he called Paula "Ab-a-gwa."
