Graveside services for Mr. Charles Ray Widener will be held Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 3pm at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hayes, Steven Boles, Dwayne Newman, Brian Holcomb, Brad Newsom, and Eric Berry. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5 from 6-8pm at the George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home. Mr. Widener, 49, of Aiken, died, April 2, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Widener was born in Aiken, SC to Betty Widener Harrington, and to the late Lewis Curtis Widener. Mr. Widener lived all of his life in Aiken. He was a member of Couchton Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter Amy Scott; brother, Otis Widener; sister, Theresa Newman, two grandchildren; two nephews, and a niece.
